How often should fire alarms be serviced?

Best practice is servicing by a competent person at least twice a year, alongside a weekly test of a call point by you and regular in-house checks.

What type of fire alarm system do I need?

It depends on your building and its risks. Your fire risk assessment determines the right category of system, and we can advise on and arrange it.

Do I legally need a fire alarm?

Most non-domestic premises need a means of raising the alarm under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The scale of system required comes from your risk assessment.
